Meet Mike Waters

Mike Waters
has dedicated his life to service. Born and raised in Pawnee County, he grew up on a cattle ranch, learning the values of hard work, faith, and family.
For more than 25 years, Mike served in law enforcement, working his way up through the ranks to become Sheriff of Pawnee County. As Sheriff, he led major investigations, took down child predator networks, and built strong partnerships with state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies to protect citizens.
"I’ve dedicated my life to protecting Oklahoma families, standing shoulder to shoulder with law enforcement and our citizens. That’s the same commitment I’ll bring to the State Capitol."

Mike has also served on the Oklahoma Sheriffs’ Association Executive Board, including two terms as President, where he fought for stronger laws to protect Oklahoma families. Beyond law enforcement, Mike serves on the board of the United Community Action Program, helping children, families, and seniors across nine counties.
Mike comes from a proud military family. His father was a Vietnam veteran, his uncle also served, and his stepdaughter is an officer in the U.S. Air Force. He understands sacrifice, service, and the duty we owe our veterans.
Today, Mike continues to run livestock and stay active in the agricultural community. He knows firsthand the challenges facing Oklahoma farmers and ranchers, and he’ll always be their voice at the Capitol.
Mike and his family are proud Oklahomans, and he is ready to serve House District 35 with the same honesty, integrity, and determination that have guided his entire life.
